ENVIROX PROTECTION Products in the Pharmaceutical Industry |
|
In fermentation processes for the production of pharmaceutical products separation processes play an important role.
Membranes with characteristic molecular weight cut offs can be used over a wide spectrum of molecular seizes for separation and fractionation and are being used increasingly in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
ENVIROX PROTECTION offers a wide spectrum of membranes in a variety of polymers, MWCO and geometries, such as flat sheet membranes, spiral wound membranes, capillaries and tubular membranes.
These membranes are used in the fermentation processes to prepare the sterile feed. After fermentation microfiltration-membranes are used to remove cells or cell fragments in the up-stream process to isolate the desired products such as enzymes, proteins, vaccines or other pharmaceutical low molecular weight products. In the down-stream process usually ultra- or nanofiltration-membranes are being used to concentrate the products or to isolate them before final purification. ENVIROX PROTECTION also offers dialysis membranes in the form of hollow fibres for feed or isolation purposes or to use these membranes directly as bioreactor.
All products conform to FDA-standards.
In addition to a wide range of membrane products such as flat sheets, die cuts, spirals and hollow fibers, ENVIROX PROTECTION also offers a cassette system with various filtration areas. The cassettes are available from laboratory scale up to large scale production dimensions and can be supplied if needed with the corresponding holders and systems.
